P51-D weapons mod

Hi all,

 

With the arrival of Bellsimtek's F5, the presence of UH-1, Mig-21 and Mig-15, I thought about making Vietnam related missions. But one aircraft is missing: the A-1 Skyraider. As we don't have this aircraft (yet) in DCS, I edited a small weapon mod for the P51D.

 

This mod will allow you to have bombs:

-Mk82

-Mk82 Snakeye

-CBU-52

-M117

-RBK-250 (to simulate napalm)

-SAB-100 (not realistic but adds light in the darkness)

 

This mod also adds smoke and illumination rockets launched from LAU-68 pods. But there is a restriction: as the P51 is configured to launch ONE single rocket from each pylon, the LAU pod will launch only one rocket. And, if you want to mark targets with smoke before attacking with HVAR, remember that rockets are launched from outer pylons to inner pylons as we can't select weapons stations on the P51.

Of course, this mod is "JSGME ready"

 

And if someone knows how to make mod 20mm guns instead of .50 default machine guns to simulate the A-1's guns....:music_whistling:

I was expecting the P-51 to look really weird with all those modern weapons but it actually looks like it would've had most of them.

I tried installing this a few days ago and is not working for me. Anyone else have any luck?
