baltic_dragon Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 (edited) Hey guys, Just returned from holidays - haven't flown for a month. I have updated DCS World, fired up a mission in the A-10C... and encountered a weird problem. My right throttle stopped seeing the OFF position - whenever I go to idle or slightly above it, it acts as if I went to complete OFF position and turns my right engine off. I recalibrated it under Windows settings (using windows 10), as it had different working range than the left one, but this didn't help - even though they act the same under Windows now, in game it still cuts off the engine even before I get to idle. The left one works OK. Any ideas what I could do to fix that? Thanks! *** EDIT *** To make things even more bizzaire, I swapped the controls (assigned left throttle on my TM to right throttle in game and vice versa). Now both throttles work fine if they are operated separately. However, when I put both in idle position, the right engine will stop working... so it does not seem like a problem with the stick, but something else... Happens in DCS 1.5, 2.0 and in Open Beta. FeistyLemur Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 (edited) That's pretty weird. I don't know how much effort you have put in to custom controls, and therefore how much work it's going to be if you have to reset them, but you could try moving the config files out of your settings folder to reset them completely to defaults just for testing and see if that helps. I don't remember off the top of my head the file path but there's a settings folder under the windows user folders where it saves all your keybinding profiles and game settings. You don't delete the config files, just move them out of there and back them up, then you can always put them back if it doesn't fix anything. Edited August 16, 2016 by FeistyLemur
baltic_dragon Posted August 16, 2016 Author Posted August 16, 2016 It seems there might be a problem with the stick after all - while calibrating and when using the unprocessed data, left throttle has range from 0% to 100%, while right from 32% to 128%. Calibration does not help - it reverts to the same settings each time. Any ideas? For more information, please visit my website. FeistyLemur Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Not really, there is this thread that could potentially help. But I think it's kind of old and a lot of the links in it are broken and out of date. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=42462 I don't know if it's adaptable to windows 10 though. Basically your calibration could be corrupt or something. You might need to investigate into that angle. Or unfortunately the throttle could be faulty, hopefully not.
hansangb Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Check for the latest fw/driver from TM. I know there was a new one a (not too) while back. Or maybe this post will help? hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1
baltic_dragon Posted August 17, 2016 Author Posted August 17, 2016 Thanks guys! I am off for holidays but will try the calibration tool when I am back, seems I have a similar problem to the one described in the post linked above. Cheers!
