Hello,

Trying to set up a AAR training mission for my first attempt to take fuel in DCS. In the editor:

(1) How do I set up a tanker too fly a continuous race track ?

(2) How do I set the radio and the TACAN frequencies

Sorry again for asking such basic questions.

1) Set up 4 waypoints. Use Advanced waypoint options - switch waypoint on last one to point back to first in racetrack. Easy.

No need to use the switch waypoint action here.

There is already an Orbit --> Racetrack option.

How to set it up? Give the tanker two waypoints. Set the Orbit --> Racetrack action on the first waypoint. It will now orbit on a racetrack between the first and second waypoint.

Orbit -> Racetrack is definitely an option.

From experience I've found it to be a bit finickity, so for simple things I tend to do it manually with 6 way points. Also gives more control over speed, alt and pathing, the first two are quite important for AAR.

After the 6 point the tanker land?

Altitude and speed are parameters you can set in the orbit action. Don't think you want the tanker to change speeds and altitudes in the racetrack, that would be a nightmare for the pilots that want to refuel

Imho it's only finickity, because you have to set the orbiting planes GS, not IAS. Can be tiring to calculate it everytime... but other than that I don't have any negative experience with it.
