Uh-1h In threat environment ?

Hi to all ,

 

so i just pick up the great mission made by Alaryk "Evac"

and i found my self for the first time fly in rely threat environment .

 

i tray to fly low but the enemy's all the time shut me down with missile that i cant see.

i set my Flars trigger on my HOTAS.

 

any good tips for fly in HOT Zones since we not have Crow Eyes and RWR System ?

I played Evac twice now, the first flight I seemed to be constantly under fire with SAM's though none hit me a couple hit buildings. The second time I flew it the Sams where less, but ground fire became a problem. I was down at between 10 and 20 feet most of the flight.

I still never found the pilot yet but it is an interesting diversion

 

In my experience though SAMs rarely bring down a huey, they look good flying past the windscreen but small arms is the killer:)

I set my flars and fire them every missile i can see .

also every 30-45 Sec .

i add a flight plan to the pilot but cant see is flars firing.

also we have in this mission 2 mig-21 that tray to shut us down/

 

the main topic is how is the best way to flay in threat environment.

 

for me :

- Fly Low as u can

- Firing flars sequence

- change flight direction

Concerning Evac, if you flight low enough ( i mean really low all the time) they shouldn't be a pb :P ground can however :P

 

The 2 migs begins the hunt only if you take too much time to rescue the pilot.

 

A tip for finding it, when in zone you can hit F10, and ask for a signal flare. He only have 2, but it help !

Thank you that is quite a breeze blowing but it is a very atmospheric mission, I tried the flares but could not spot him and crashed when I went to F2:music_whistling:
