I don't know if this is a redundant thread, but since the results are interesting I took my chances of posting this.

I found out that all warning lights, guage lights, and guage needles are controlled by arguments in the 3d pit. Which simply means that you can design your own 3d pit and DISLOCATE the guages.

The trick would be to try every single Arg. , and make a list of the functions.

- For guage needles Args. you have to be very precice in recording at waht position a given reading is pointed at. This will help you to scale your animation to get accurate readings in game.

I have readed in teh russian Forum ( cant remember where ) but all the gauges have to be made again in a trully 3D pit

I have tried the arguments beforo justo to see what they do unfortunely i dont take notes from that :(

And Strike not only gauges everthing that moves are controled by teh arguments including the JoyStick

Ofcourse you have to recreate the guages, static objects with background texture and animate the needles, ribons.

sure all moving parts are controlled by args, but I only mentioned the guages because thats the main concerne.

Yeah was me making the falcon pit all along. The 3D project you shown me is too detailed to be ingame. All LOMAC pits have certain rules of construction they must obey. For example all components in the pit that has some sort of working intrument must be in a vertical or horizontal plane, HUD, gauges ETC. Any unnecessary polygons that wont be seen from the pilots perspective will be deleted later.

I remember for the early times, when I allways talking about after the IL-2 Sturmovik, in the Lock On the cockpits are NOT 3D, but lot of people shooted down me, because they said: please belive it: this is a true 3D cockpit. But it's not true, as we see.

That was in 2003. This is 2006.

Now we got a true 3D cockpit for each plane.

Thank you!

(the next correction maybe the real vortex and afterburner...:smilewink:)
