Triggered Action

I am having trouble getting a triggered action to work.

I have infantry set to late activation.

I have a triggered action to hold set with a flag set to release them.

I did a test that uses time since start so I can see whats going on right at the ramp.

I activate the infantry and do the triggered HOLD at the same time.

The infantry activates but does not hold!

 

Any thoughts?

Hey dude,

Triggered actions do not work with a flag set under them .

 

Two ways around it:

 

A. If you want the infantry to hold on spawning, just use advanced waypoint action and add HOLO as the first one. You can also add a flag as a 'stop condition', so whenever a given flag is true, HOLD will stop applying and the next action will commence.

 

B. Triggered actions with flags normally don't work. You need to add a HOLD as a triggered action

and then create a trigger in main trigger menu looking like this: Name -> Flag is true (X) -> AI task push (1. Unit Name - HOLD.

Was there enemy infantry nearby? I tried to activate a blue infantry group. There was an enemy group shooting at one point near them. The blue group was invisible and invulnerable and had no waypoints at all. One of the 3 soldiers then walked around 3 houses to shoot the enemy infantry group. Tried nearly everything, setting a waypoint + hold, disperse under fire = 0, nothing worked. Only thing working was "AI off", but then they also didn't fire back.

What helped a bit was moving them a few meters on the map, they still spread out, but not as much as before
