Yurgon Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 as above - can I have a buddy in ka50 lase for a GBU? Nope, unfortunately that doesn't work. IIRC the lasers have different freqs/frequency ranges and thus aren't compatible.
Nerd1000 Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 It is likely that the laser designators of the A-10 and the Ka-50 have essentially the same frequency: my guess is that they're both Nd:YAG infra red lasers. The issue is that the laser codes are incompatible- the GBU will only home in a dot that flashes the right coded pattern. 1
