I know that you can set route mode to selected Target/Waypoint/Airfield and whatnot ...

I also know how to use the Autopilot Route mode to hold Altitude/Direction/Speed if I don't have any Waypoint/Target/Airfield selected which is useful when you're busy in the cockpit.

Now my Question is if anyone knows ...

Is is possible to use Manual mode on HSI and turn the White/Yellow Markers(Arrows) into specific heading and then use Autopilot - Route mode for aircraft to automatically turn that direction and fly that way?

Thanks

Right side wall panel, there is a switch for just what you want Mag/Gyro/Manual. It doesn't do anything now though (I think). AP will follow PVI-800, Shkval (auto turn) or it will hold your current heading (DT DH middle position).

That's not what that switch is for. You might use it to miss set the heading indicator so the helicopter has a wrong idea of heading but that's not a proper use.
