Rlaxoxo Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 (edited) I know that you can set route mode to selected Target/Waypoint/Airfield and whatnot ... I also know how to use the Autopilot Route mode to hold Altitude/Direction/Speed if I don't have any Waypoint/Target/Airfield selected which is useful when you're busy in the cockpit. Now my Question is if anyone knows ... Is is possible to use Manual mode on HSI and turn the White/Yellow Markers(Arrows) into specific heading and then use Autopilot - Route mode for aircraft to automatically turn that direction and fly that way? Thanks Edited October 10, 2016 by Rlaxoxo [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
flanker0ne Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Saddly no The HSI is just a receiver that shows nav info to the pilot or, changing his operating mode (DH/DT), working by his own more or less like every HSI not integrated into the systems SCOPRI DI PIU': https://www.amvi.it/joinus.php DISCORD COMBINEDOPS The Battle Planning Tool
Rlaxoxo Posted October 10, 2016 Author Posted October 10, 2016 Thanks for the reply ... Shame tho would have been an amazing feature ;( [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
JG14_Smil Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 (edited) Right side wall panel, there is a switch for just what you want Mag/Gyro/Manual. It doesn't do anything now though (I think). AP will follow PVI-800, Shkval (auto turn) or it will hold your current heading (DT DH middle position). Edited October 10, 2016 by JG14_Smil
Frederf Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 That's not what that switch is for. You might use it to miss set the heading indicator so the helicopter has a wrong idea of heading but that's not a proper use.
JG14_Smil Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Thanks again Frederf, I guess it's just another pre-flight function that does nothing.
