Bahnzo Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Surely this has been brought up, but a search shows nothing.... I did a test with the SU-25T against a SAM site(Hawk), and with and without ECM, the site still fires at the same distance. ie: it seems like ECM has zero effect on the tracking of the sam radar. Bug? Known issue? Or a reason behind it?

From what distance does it launch missile at you? i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
Bahnzo Posted November 1, 2016 Author Posted November 1, 2016 It fires at 35km. According to the encyclopedia in the game, the effective range of the missile is 32km.
BinaryMan Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 I'm really surprised that the su25t has been having so many bugs lately, didn't think they even changed anything for it? I wonder what happened
jetkid Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 (edited) External ECM pods on SU25T are not so effective against powerful SAM radars. SAMs are very clever on tracking targets despite the little jammers SU25T employs. Anyway to test ECM pods you can follow SU25T AI from another radar equipped aircraft and try to lock the frogfoot while managing the AI to enable and disable the ECM pods.
