BaD CrC Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 (edited) Hello Polychop guys! Any reason why there is still no NVG on the L ? Surely the NVG can fit on the pilot's helmets just as well as in the M version, and I have read that the L versions deployed in Lybia in 2011 during operation Harmattan were equipped with NVG. BaD CrC Posted November 10, 2016 Author Posted November 10, 2016 OK, I found why this was not working on the L. There is actually 2 different possible assignments to turn OFF and ON the NVG in the command list. One for the L and one for the M. The ON/OFF command for the M was assigned, but not for the L. I will report this as a bug. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
EagleFox Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Yes but there is no NVGs on pilot helmet in L.
Mt5_Roie Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 I'll see if we can add it to the pilot model. Coder - Oculus Rift Guy - Court Jester
enigma6584 Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 My guess is that PolyChop didn't add those goggles because the L version really is a dedicated day aircraft. The optics do not support night work.
BaD CrC Posted November 10, 2016 Author Posted November 10, 2016 Well you can certainly engage the enemy with canon and rockets through the HUD + NVG, can't we? https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
Schmidtfire Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 (edited) I don't think that the NVG's are standard on the L version. It's a simpler version that has been around for a long time. Obviously not all Gazelle versions are equipped with night capability. But if it has been used in real life with NVG's I am all for it. Edited November 10, 2016 by Schmidtfire
