QuiGon Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Even though I pre-purchased NTTR last year, I haven't flown there yet, so I wonder if this is included: https://theaviationist.com/2014/05/01/a-10-mud-lake-pix/ In words: Do we have dirt runways in the Nevada dessert that we can operate from? Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
razo+r Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Not yet Maybe dirt airports will come with the WWII scenario
QuiGon Posted November 22, 2016 Author Posted November 22, 2016 Not yet Maybe dirt airports will come with the WWII scenario Alright, thought so. But what happens if you just land in the dessert? Does the surface behave the same like on the Caucasus map (beeing really rough and getting your gear destroyed)? If so, is it the same for all aircraft or can WW2 aircraft land and takeoff there safely, because IIRC they can do that on the Caucasus map, just the jets can't. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
razo+r Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 IIRC it's the same situation as in Caucasus atm
QuiGon Posted November 22, 2016 Author Posted November 22, 2016 IIRC it's the same situation as in Caucasus atm Alright, thanks  Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Vitormouraa Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 (edited) That would be really nice, and I'm sure it will be available to use pretty soon btw. Edited November 22, 2016 by Vitormouraa SplashOneGaming Discord https://splashonegaming.com
lemoen Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Not true, at least that dry lake bed next to Groom Lake AFB, is usable, even with jets. There's even some lines you can see from the air. Maybe some others too.
