I am sure we would all like to have super clouds. However, I think that we would all require a heavy duty GPU, (Titan)in order to render high resolution clouds and a combat simulator running fast enough to suspend disbelief.

But hey, maybe ED can find a way of rendering clouds without using lots of video memory?

I would argue that Clouds and weather is much harder to do both technically and within the confines of most users computer restrictions than what it takes to make nice looking tarmac :)

That said, ED is working on the clouds, and understands their importance...

I didn't mean to insinuate that clouds and weather are on par with tarmac as far as development goes, I fully understand that it's an entirely different nightmare and super difficult.

I only wanted to demonstrate that different game genre's hang their hats on different terrain according to where the player spends the majority of their time.

Yep! I always worry that even though I'm not fond of our clouds as they are now that my frame rate is going to take a huge hit when they implement the new ones.

Personally I'd be more interested in them getting synced in multi-player than getting better looking. Currently having the choice between fully overcast and completely clear is a bit dull.

Very good point

I don't thing about better looking at all. Its all about realism.

I'd also love to see improvements on the simulation features when it comes to clouds and weather.

The visuals should be a much lower priority (imho) (and believable, realistic looking clouds would require a lot of work, time, and budget).

Synced clouds in MP is a great example. We can't dive/hide in the clouds in the current state and it would add a nice tactical layer to the sim (or just good fun and some common visual references while flying with our buddies/wingmen).

Along with the other great suggestions, I would like to see the clouds block AI vision as well.
