Florence201 Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 I've recently purchased a new headset with mike and was wondering how i set it up to allow comms through it rather than selecting communication through the keyboard? Thanks [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
NeilWillis Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Define exactly what you mean by comms - talking on multiplayer servers, or using the menus in DCS World to send radio messages. To run with a hot mike in real world comms is possible by setting it up in whatever system you use, but we need to know what that system is, because at my last count there were at least 3 permutations, possibly more. So, be a little more specific, and you may get an answer.
Florence201 Posted December 3, 2016 Author Posted December 3, 2016 I have an X52 Pro for use with both 1.5 and 2.0 versions. I'm trying to be able to transmit radio messages within DCS world using a headset and Mike. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Fisherman82 Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 I've recently purchased a new headset with mike and was wondering how i set it up to allow comms through it rather than selecting communication through the keyboard? Thanks You need to set up speech recognition in Windows and get Voiceattack from http://voiceattack.com. Costs 10 dollars if I remember correct. You can then set up a own profile or you can use VAICOM, look at https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=151296
JG14_Smil Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 TeamSpeak will work without a PTT, but you have to set your gain correctly. I can promise you no one wants to listen to your breathing. ;)
SnowTiger Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 I agree with JG14. In fact, I think you will find that most Online Servers explain that they don't want Live Mic's (that is, they want you to use PTT push to talk" With that in mind, I have a single button set up (for all DCS Aircraft) in my SST Profiles that acts as my PTT button for use in TeamSpeak. I also have another button (set up in DCS Options) that is used for Comms re: Tower/Ground Crew etc. Hope this helps.
