Moving game location

I want to move my game to a different (faster SSD) hard drive on the same pc. It's not the steam version. What's the best way to do this? :helpsmilie:

 

Is it possible to just copy the game over to the other drive or do I need to do a clean install? Are you allowed to have the game in more than one location? (Not that I want to).

 

If I have to do a new installation does that mean I need to deactivate all the modules in the old location first and re-activate them in the new location?

Deactivation is not needed, copying everything over to the new drive will work but you will have to edit the Windows shortcuts.

 

I would reinstall, if you can deal with the download times, but that is just me, it is not necessary.

Right click, cut, paste. I just did the same thing. It will work, no problems. As the other guy mentions, obviously I updated shortcuts. Otherwise, that was it.

I assume the auto updater has no problem if you move the installation by cut & paste?
