Nothing anybody else hasn't done fifty thousand times before but I was curious what records others had? I made it to Mach 2.48 or so (It was squawking about bingo fuel so I decided to start the climb before I ran out) and zoomed to an estimated 88,900ft.

Anybody go faster/higher?

Changed your link, you only need 47y5HeJXUa4 from the URL

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

As you suspected I have also tried a similar thing only in DCS 1.5 as you can see from the screenshot i made it to 91750 ish however ill include a second screenshot with a better view of the world.

It is very difficult to do considering you have to pull from level at 45-50 thousand feet up to around 70-80 degrees nose up while trying to maintain as much of your energy as possible. you'll want to be cruising at the fastest you can get then on the lowest possible fuel climb so you just able to maintain max throttle all the way. 1500-2000 lbs should be about right.

Good luck to whoever tries it.

Bladechaser, that long period where I was flying straight, I was building speed. When I started my climb, I was doing just shy of mach 2.5. Momentum, good sir ;)

If you try to just loiter your way up there, the F-15 service ceiling is around 60,000 feet. You have to get a good running start to go higher than that =) You can't stay that high, I stalled out sharply once my speed bled off.

Climb up a bit, 10-20k feet, build your speed up to mach 1 or a bit higher, then move up again to 35-45k feet and then build your speed up again to at least mach 2, then pull up into a steep climb and rocket your way up there.

J1WmX.jpgYou can get quite a bit higher

Here's a screenshot of one attempt ~113,000ft. I've actually been higher. I believer 124,000 ft is my absolute record. I've got a screenshot of it somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it up.
