So im sat on the taxiway, and after said event happens (no spoilers) i am sat waiting for anything over the radio.

 

Im getting no calls on either the ATC nor SU-25 flight requency giving me directions as what or where to go after this.

 

So im entirely stuck! Radio is on and i can tune to both frequencies (162 for sochi,186 for the SU-25 flight) and I get nothing from anyone.

 

Any help? I know im tuned to right stations as im getting signal strength returned.

 

*EDIT* NVM, read this is caused by an ED bug... great work on the campaign been really enjoying it, one of the best for DCS. Pity this bug has surfaced as it makes it unplayable for now.

Haha, sorry I wasn't able to respond sooner, but I'm glad that you were able to see that this is an "all encompassing" bug.

 

Hopefully the fix will be out soon. Glad you're enjoying the campaign so far!

No problem, got there in the end. Should have searched further first!

 

But yes, campaign is awesome, i like what you have done with the story, briefings, the lot. Having it fully voice acted is a MAJOR plus.

 

Looking forward to continuing once the triggers are fixed.. one of the main reason I stopped working on my campaign was due to these kinda bugs.

I just checked Mission 6 on the new patch, and it looks like everything is working properly again.

 

I hear ya, working on missions and campaigns can be quite daunting. I started making this campaign when DCS was still in version 1.2 ... needless to say, it was a lot of work bringing it up to 1.5. But it was well worth it. The graphical improvement alone was nice enough for me :)

I'm getting fps of 2! while on the ground. I have a GTX1070 and an I5 4690k with 8 gig ram

What would I need to upgrade to in order to get at least 30 fps instead in this mission with high system settings?

2 !? Yikes. I know the beginning of this mission bogs down a bit, but that's below even what I've got. Have other missions been giving you less than 30? I've improved the next mission (7) because I was getting in the low teens with that one during an active fight.

I'm sure the initial attack is quite heavy on the fps. I think it is on everyone's. As time goes by though, does it improve? If you sat it out for 2-3 minutes, most of the crazy scripted stuff should stop.

I recommend starting the plane up, and just waiting it out a bit, as the explosions stop and the aircraft leave. Also, follow this route specified here so you don't have to do it again: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2872322&postcount=7

 

Once you get airborne and put Sochi behind you, everything should be fine.

 

The only thing I could see that might be bottlenecking your computer is the 8gb of ram .... but that's a long shot, that should be just fine! DCS is very CPU and RAM intensive, not so much on the GPU unfortunately.
