Galm99 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Can anyone help me with this issue, I have enabled MIST set an AI flight in a trigger zone to act as a air to air training area set a continuous action so if the group moves out of trigger zone it will deactivate, then I use MIST to respawn the group (once again in the zone and as an continuous action) but this time after respawning it is able to leave the trigger zone and RTB  Is there anyway to fix this so the AI aircraft can never leave the zone with out being deactivated? Pikey Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Once you respawned it, it wasn't the same unit, so you can no longer deactivate it. I'm not great at this so someone else can probably provide the answer more easily. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
Galm99 Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 (edited) I see what you mean, I'm looking for some way to keep AI aircraft in a specific zone basically ensuring they will not RTB as I need them to die to be respawned indefinably if they RTB there doesn't seem to be any deactivation of the aircraft when they RTB and are sat on the ramp. The mission is for a MP mission I am creating hence why I need the aircraft to respawn indefinably Edited January 10, 2017 by Galm99 RAF Air UK Website http://www.rafairuk-dcs.co.uk/ Mike Alpha Tango's YouTube Channel http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9oKDSVDDDErRVjRFqgu3bA Intel i7-6700k RTX 2080TI Gigabyte Z170-gaming K3 32gb DDR4 RAM Hotas Warthog CV1
Pikey Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 most of that is solved in GCICAP script, except airtcraft want to go back to RTB, but if you can wait for that, they will respawn correctly. You can set them to air start in the zone and on respawn also. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
ENO Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I am under the impression that dynamically spawned aircraft are a bit of an issue now- is this not the case? "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Pikey Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 The only issues I've had provided as a test to try are using a lot of them at once. I don't use it in the same way and don't get issue. YMMV. Pikey Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 hmm scratch that, even testing with a few can cause CTD. I tried an 8v8 an dit crashed a few minutes in. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
ENO Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Sorry to hear it... I hate stacking groups in the ME... and cloning trigger after trigger but that looks like the only reliable option. Sigh. feefifofum Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 May I suggest using an F10 radio trigger to trigger the group respawn instead? Add a trigger: No special type/no conditions RADIO ITEM ADD (Respawn air targets, 1, 1) Add another: Type : SWITCHED CONDITION Conditions: FLAG IS TRUE 1 Triggered actions: mist.respawnGroup ('whatever', true) FLAG OFF 1 Now, whenever the player uses the radio item, it will respawn the target group at their orginal location. Since it also switches its own flag back off after activating, it can be used multiple times as the SWITCHED CONDITION will detect each time flag 1 goes true. THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
