Been looking around for tips on certain helicopter manoeuvres and found quite a bit of good stuff on the internet.

This particular site stood out for no-nonsense, simple advice and info:

http://www.copters.com/pilot/maneuvers.html

There's other stuff on there, too - but from a point of view of physically flying the things, this is helpful stuff.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

really recommend anything from the U.S. Army fm 3-04 but more specifically the .4 (formally the .203 https://rdl.train.army.mil/catalog-ws/view/100.ATSC/7FA34C4E-7652-4F32-83C5-A3EA462BE544-1482412542203/tc3_04.4.pdf

It contains everything from aerodynamics to basic combat maneuvers. This is pretty much every army aviators bible so I hope it helps.
