JanTelefon Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Wow! I'm really really enjoying the Viggen, but I'm swedish so I'm biased. Anyway, I'm sorry if this has been asked in another thread I haven't found. I have been trying to figure out how waypoints work and are designated in the mission editor. Normal waypoints are fine, but how do I add/edit BX points, M points or U points? Is it even doable from the mission editor? I have been unable to find more out in the manual. Any help on how nav points work from the Mission editor is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
nomdeplume Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 You can add the Bx waypoints from the aircraft properties. It's the tab with a square box on it, and only appears for player or client aircraft (not AI). If you specify the time on target for the waypoint in the editor it will be loaded as a target waypoint. I don't think you can input popup point data in the editor. Attached is a screenshot of the waypoint ETA and nav targets tabs, probably easier to show than try to describe.
JanTelefon Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 Thanks for the answer. I did try to add one of the square waypoints, but it completely broke the ability to do radar fixes. I can't figure out why. Maybe I did it wrong?
Naquaii Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Did you set the names of the target points (square waypoints) as bx6, bx7, bx8 or/and bx9? You need to name them as the corresponding bx-point so the aircraft can recognize them.
JanTelefon Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 I did not. That might be the error then.

You need to name them as the corresponding bx-point so the aircraft can recognize them. How do you do this? Specifically what I am trying to do is create a waypoint that doesnt require the player to go to TAKT > Input > 9 > waypoint button to mark a waypoint as the Target Waypoint. I would like to set this up in the mission editor. I have a square box, and I put M1 in the comments section... is that all I have to do? TJ

I just put in the comments section M1 and now the mission loads with that specified waypoint as M1. TJ

rainyday Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Is this still working or is there an issue with the Mission Editor? I try to add M1 (with the number appropriate to the waypoint) to the 'Navigation Target Points' tab - but it doesn't seem to 'stick'. Any text I add there is not there anymore if I go to another tab and it doesn't change the waypoint to target point. Waypoint does change to Target Point if I add Time on Target to it but there should be other way too? Also - how can I add L2 airfield in Mission Editor to the flight plan? I agree that it should work without ToT since there could be missions where time is unimportant. | Strix Z490-H | i5 10600K | MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB Gaming X | 32GB 3000MHz DDR4 | 256 Gb SDD Samsung 840 Pro + 480Gb SDD Kingston + 500 Gb HDD | Acer Predator Z1 2560*1440p | TM Warthog HOTAS | 2x MFD Cougar | Buddyfox A10 UFC | TrackIR 5 | Win10 Pro 64-Bit Swedish | | A-10C Warthog | AJS-37 Viggen | F-86F Sabre | F/A-18 Hornet | KA-50 Blackshark | Spitfire LF Mk.
