MAD-MM Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 (edited) Was first time fly the Gazelle with my MS FFB Stick the last two days, but doesnt found the correct Setup with my FFB2. Seem's allways the magnetic Trim is complete inverted, what so ever it try swap axis ( normal recommend for FFB) and Y X inverted. Also when i try to fly with inverted axis seem's also the normal Trim is going crazy with inverted Trim or stop working complete. any solution or setup? have to wait for future Improvement by Polychop? Ramsay Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 (edited) In DCS 1.5.5 the Gazelle's force feedback is setup to mimic (be compatible with) none force feedback sticks - this means the cyclic in the cockpit will not match the FFB joystick position, but the controls indicator (RCtrl+Enter) does. The 'correct' "force feedback tune" setting for a MS FFB2 in 1.5.5 is Swap Axis - checked Invert X and Y Axis - unchecked When setting force feedback up, you'll need to take note of the 'controls indicator' and ignore the 3D cockpit cyclic or hide it in settings. The cyclic is off because the Gazelle cyclic currently mirrors player non-ffb stick positions (centre=centre, left=left, etc) - not where the actual cyclic is/should be. When the cyclic is left and a non-FFB player presses the mag brake, the controls indicator shows left trim. When the player releases his stick, both the physical and cockpit sticks return to centre - the control indicator shows left trim and the real gazelle cyclic would be locked/centred left. When the cyclic is left and a FFB player presses the mag brake, the controls indicator shows left trim. When the player releases his stick, the physical FFB stick remains left but the cockpit stick returns to centre - the control indicator shows left trim and the real gazelle cyclic would be locked/centred left, just as the FFB stick is. In prior DCS versions the FFB offset was being added to 3D cyclic position and the adjusted trim was double what it should have been, so IMHO this is much better. Perhaps still WIP ? Thx Ramsay, was pretty confused by the 3D cyclic Stick Position as you mentioned, but make sense as you descripted. Hopefully the offset is coming back.
