The real answer is: whichever you prefer. You can’t really get an exact answer because you know there’s going to be biased answers.

I would have use at least 3 different reasons to choose each brand (6 total), other than the empirical perception of what might give more FPS or not because it could lead to error.

Most folks here I would think will be sticking by one brand or another - or steering clear of one because of previous bad experience.. and I think fewer than one in a hundred users are going to own equal cards from both manufacturers to run a true comparison.

i just wanted to know if this game took more advantage of OPENGL or DIRECTX, cos, as you know, ati works better on directx games

Lock On ain't "ati or nvidia centered" game. Spend your money to core. I got x850xt. If I "underclock" it to 500/500, or overclock to 621/630, I got exactly the same fps. I don't know what, for example x1900xtx does, but I doubt that it's the cure for low fps (if someone is experienced about that, he could tell...). While every hz I get from my 4000+ gives me more fps :) The guestion; which one is best? Both. I got ati, not because it's the best, but because I allways have had ati, and probably will :)
