Johnny Dioxin Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Is it possible to use a location for repaints other than the standard install folder or Saved Games one? My repaints are getting very large in size - approaching 15GB just for my favourites and well over that for everything I have, and my SSD space is valuable. If not, I'll try using a junction link (or symlink or whatever name they go by these days) Rig: Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS; Ryzen 7800X3D ; 64GB DDR5 5600; RTX 4080; VPC T50 CM2 HOTAS; Pimax Crystal Light I'm learning to fly - but I ain't got wings With my head in VR - it's the next best thing!
f4l0 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 You can use symlinks: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbolic_link f4l0 Developer of Simshaker for Aviators Feel the brrrrttt: [Official] SimShaker for Aviators Forums thread at ED forums SimShaker for Aviators (simshaker-for-aviators.github.io)
Home Fries Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 I use symlinks as well, but you can also point to any path in your autoexec.cfg with the following line (path as example): table.insert(options.graphics.VFSTexturePaths, "e:/DCS_Textures/Bf109") Note the forward slashes; they're important. If you use the same autoexec.cfg, you can also use the same texture path for all of your DCS installs. -Home Fries My DCS Files and Skins My DCS TARGET Profile for Cougar or Warthog and MFDs F-14B LANTIRN Guide
