Fred00 Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 I have experienced violent throws i pitch several times, for (as it appears) no reason. It seems to happen when setting up for landing, and always seems to happen when decreasing thrust. For example I'm flying at about 500 km/h level at 500m and decrease the thrust and all of a sudden the nose pitches up violently to almost 15 degrees AOA. I have also experienced violent nose down, where the nose is pitched very quickly into the ground. It is a very weird behavior that has never happened on any other aircraft. Anyone else experienced this?
razo+r Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 i only experience this with transsonic speed, how fast were you when it happened?
Sryan Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Does the pitch-up occur when deploying the gear? Does the pitch-down occur when near mach 1.0? Check my F-15C guide
Fred00 Posted February 5, 2017 Author Posted February 5, 2017 i only experience this with transsonic speed, how fast were you when it happened? About 500 km/h. Does the pitch-up occur when deploying the gear? Does the pitch-down occur when near mach 1.0? No, this is not occuring when deploying the gear, though I believe I had the gear deployed at the time. This is not related to trim or the extra lift generated by the flaps. These are very violent throws in pitch (like 15 degrees AOA in a split second at 500 km/h).
