SuperKungFu Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 sweet man, did you build it yourself? If so, damn that's skilled. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SVK_Fox Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 SVK_Pucos friend made that models by himself.
Pilotasso Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 realy good models. Mine compared to these look like were made by kids with crayons. :D .

Pilotasso Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Its still not as satisfying as building your own. Metal kits look like toys. They are too shiny and too stylised that they wont look convincing. I still prefer my paint brushed kits (yes, the hard way). There are some flaws in the paint, some wrong colors etc but I still like them better this way. .
hitman Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 lol yea me too, that's why i got fed up and just bought those models that are fully built and its metal. But kinda cost a lot. You too eh? Last model I built was a tamiya F-14D in 1/72. They molded the landing gear incorrectly (2 left gears and not 1 right in the kit) so I had to build it gear up. 3 months later, after putting more putty on it than Hobby Lobby can supply, 3 gallons of paint, $300 wasted and one tight looking F-14 - landing gear, a 2 yr old decided to eat it...after I had just finished it. You've never seen a grown man cry till you seen a model get eaten by brats. SuperKungFu Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 a 2 yr old decided to eat it...after I had just finished it. O damn that sucks, i would probably go insane after that. And yea of course building it yourself is better- accurate and rewarding but in my case who sucks like hell in art but still want a model but no time to learn or build- lol just buy it. Guest IguanaKing Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 My 3-year-old (cat...half-bobcat...so he's huge and heavy) was playing with my A-10 ejection seat parts on Friday. I have managed to find every part, except for one seat rail. I'll find it eventually, just have to get back to thinking like a mammal rather than a reptile. :D
hitman Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Dont vacuum.. Guest IguanaKing Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 That actually may be the best way to find it. I have a bagless vacuum cleaner, so it'll just end up in the collection cup. :D
