Chops Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 I have a new Pro Throttle, and am trying to setup control mapping. I am finding that the mini-hat switch on the Pro Throttle is very sensitive and hard to control when using it with the Viggen module. I tried mapping it to the RB-05 missle, and the Radar Stick, but neither work well. Has anyone successfully mapped the mini-hat, and if so how are you using this control?
ac5 Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Yes, here.... You have to set the curvature very high > 100. Chops Posted February 21, 2017 Author Posted February 21, 2017 Thank you. How do you have the mini-hat mapped? What are you using it for?
ac5 Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Mostly for "absolute camera view" Mainboard: ASUS Maximus X Hero Intel Z 370 CPU: Intel Core i7-8086K @ 4.0 GHz Memory: 32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4-3000 Graphics Card: ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB Monitor ASUS PA 329 32" @ 4K 1 SSD Samsung 860 PRO 256 GB 1 SSD Samsung 860 PRO 4 TB Windows 10 - 64 V. 2004 CH Pro combatstick, throttle and pedals
grunf Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 I use CH throttle mini stick for radar and RB-05 (with modifier), with 15 curves and 5 deadzone. Works pretty good.
Chops Posted February 21, 2017 Author Posted February 21, 2017 Thanks for your help. Which modifier do you use for RB-05?
splash Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Radar and RB-05 with pinky button in Fighterstick. Curve is 15.
grunf Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Thanks for your help. Which modifier do you use for RB-05? My standard modifier, the left most button on throttle handle, button 4 IIRC.
Chops Posted February 22, 2017 Author Posted February 22, 2017 I tried using a 15 curve and 5 deadzone for the mini-hat mapped to radar stick. It didn't work. When I tap the mini-hat in one direction the radar cross just keeps moving. I must be missing something.
lemoen Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I tried using a 15 curve and 5 deadzone for the mini-hat mapped to radar stick. It didn't work. When I tap the mini-hat in one direction the radar cross just keeps moving. I must be missing something. Bigger deadzone.
grunf Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I tried using a 15 curve and 5 deadzone for the mini-hat mapped to radar stick. It didn't work. When I tap the mini-hat in one direction the radar cross just keeps moving. I must be missing something. Mine does that too sometimes, I have to manually "re-center" it and than it stops. Bigger deadzone may help.
Chops Posted February 23, 2017 Author Posted February 23, 2017 I have tried using a larger deadzone and changing the curve on the Mini-Hat, however, it is still not functional. The radar cross keeps moving in what ever direction the mini-hat is moved. Not sure why CH would make a control that is so sensitive. To bad it doesn't work like a normal Hat Switch. Any other suggestions?
ac5 Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 And by the way you guys, Inside the CH Pro Throttle on the "sledge" are two "O" rubber rings that not allow the full extent of the throttle, which should be on the CH Control Manager 0 - 255. I have removed those (Warranty void!), and although it still not allows 0 - 255 it is much better, and the Viggen goes to afterburner stage 3 and idle better, and obviously so the other planes. Chops Posted February 26, 2017 Author Posted February 26, 2017 (edited) I installed the CH Control Manager software, and calibrated all of my CH hardware. I was able to calibrate the Mini-Hat (Mini Joystick) and it works correctly now. Although it did wipe out all of my Control Mapping. Not that big of a deal, but it will have to be done for all my aircraft. Edited February 26, 2017 by Chops
