ViperEagle Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 This thread was inspired by a post by Force_Feedback on the F-15 Release thread by Walmis. Has anyone tried to perhaps create a new set of "accurate" sounds for LO-1.12a? What I mean is that perhaps by adding new sounds and "scripts". An example..the ripping, roaring sound created by the F-15's engines at AB or at Mil power? When the F-15's engines start, you hear the Jet Fuel Starter spool up, and then the engine start and the JFS spool down, and then the same for the other side? Same for the Su-27, the MiG's, etc? Just an idea I'm tossing out.
SuperKungFu Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Did you try out some of the sound packs over at lockonfiles? They are pretty good, i combined the best of the best sounds, rugg did that too and he put his up for download. IIRC, it was also on lockonfiles. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ViperEagle Posted November 22, 2006 Author Posted November 22, 2006 Oh yeah sure I did. Just wondering if anyone had thought about adding new sounds, instead of just over-writes of the original sounds.
ViperEagle Posted November 22, 2006 Author Posted November 22, 2006 Thats just it, I dont know :pilotfly: I'm not exactly on the technical side of things, was just tossing an idea out.
LazerPotatoe Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 If it was something that triggered a LUA event, you could write a program to play sounds based on those events. LP modules: F5-E / A4-E / A-10A / AJS-37 / SA-342 / UH-1H / Ka-50 / Mi-8 / CA would buy: OH-58 /AH-64A / AH-1 / Sepecat Jaguar / F-111
Corsair7662 Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 haha I got a great sound of the F-117 starting up that I should make for LOMAC. I was right next to one and recorded it on video, so I got the moan of both engines grunting and starting up, its got a very unique sound to it :).
