What is this?

Pal (Principal) = Main, normal operating mode

Pal+G = simultaneously monitoring selected frequency and guard frequency (243MHz or 121.5MHz)

Ar (Arret) = off

Don't know about F1 and H.

It's a frequency that is used in case of emergency, to send a distress call. Civil aviation use 121.5MHz, military 243MHz. It is monitored by traffic control and emergency services.
