grunf
I have not seen in the manual or other source the meaning for the mode dial option of this radio: Pol Pol+G F1 H Ar What is this? dolfo
From memory: Pal is preset channel Pal+G is preset channel + Guard reception F1=? H should be for homing, or direction finding? AR=stop, off. Might be all wrong too.

grunf
Guard reception / guard frequency? I don't understand what is this. It's a frequency that is used in case of emergency, to send a distress call. Civil aviation use 121.5MHz, military 243MHz. It is monitored by traffic control and emergency services.
