hughesj2 Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Guys, Not sure if it's just me but on the latest 1.5.6 beta update I seem to have lost the banging sound for the compressor stall? Also from the dev update I don't think this is fixed, unless it's a different issue; >Fixed formation light floating in air if outer wing ripped off. I ripped the wings off testing the new over G sounds (which are great) :music_whistling: And the starboard position/formation (white) light and aileron/elevon was still visible? Also what are the parameters to trigger this? >Engine overspeed damage implemented Keep up the good work  Cheers James
Pocket Sized Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Last I checked, the overspeed damage occurs above the max allowed Mach number (2.1ish?) and disables the afterburner for the rest of the flight. Yesterday I took the airframe up to 950 knots indicated (airspeed indicator was off the scale) with no apparent issues (if you ignore the fuel gauge looking like a backwards clock :D) DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule. In order to utilize a system to your advantage, you must know how it works.
BlackLion213 Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Yes, I have also lost the compressor "thumps". The stalls themselves are still present (based on RPMs, EGT, pressure ratio, etc), but the associated sound is gone in the latest OB patch. -Nick
hughesj2 Posted April 1, 2017 Author Posted April 1, 2017 Ok, guessing this is an oversight then when the over G sounds have been added. Miss the thump of the compressor stalls though, was a great indication that you were pushing too hard. Hopefully will be addressed
El Bastardo Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 So.... is the banging of the compressor stall gone for good now or will it return? :helpsmilie:
Cobra847 Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 It's on the list- it will be fixed. Nicholas Dackard Founder & Lead Artist Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
