It's been like this for me in both 1.5 and 2 since day one, and I keep thinking it looks ... unfinished, buggy, or just plain wrong. The weird hash/striped mask in the back, especially.

I always thought this is normal... Let's see if a repair helps.

PC Specs / Hardware: MSI z370 Gaming Plus Mainboard, Intel 8700k @ 5GHz, MSI Sea Hawk 2080 Ti @ 2100MHz, 32GB 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM

Displays: Philips BDM4065UC 60Hz 4K UHD Screen, Pimax 8KX

Repair does nothing for this. Change your Windows text size back to 100% and then reboot (Some people say you can get away with 125%).

 

I just went through this the other day.

Can confirm repair does nothing. Will try text size changing. Though it sucks if to accommodate DCS I have to put up with an less-than-ideal text size for my entire OS ...

Ok, setting text size to 100% or 125% and then rebooting results in a clean cursor in DCS.

Now, question is, it this a bug worth reporting? Such a pain to be forced to keep a less-than-ideal desktop font size (and, conversely, so ugly a cursor).
