ME: Comanding unit to transmit radio message - question

Im building a mission with more elaborate comunication with your wingman. It worked fine when it was executed by SOUND TO GROUP, but I wanted it to transmitted by the unit so:

I set the Unit triggers - command - transmit message.

In triggers menu I set AI PUSH and choosen the right transmit command

The problem is that It would transmit the message nr1 and then wouldn't transmit when others triggers in mission go off.

Images attached. Thoughts, advices?

Best way to test if something is being triggered is to add a "Message to All" action displaying a unique message.

The big difference between sound to group and transmit message is that transmit message will transmit over a specified radio frequency. The frequency set is on the main aircraft information panel or can be set as part of the tasking. This means that the player has to have the radio on and tuned to the correct frequency in order to hear it.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

Thank you Grimes for prompt answer. The trigers are working - I already tested this. Also, the unit has the frequency since I can hear and read the first message (nr 1) is transmited. Somehow the unit doesnt want to transmit other messages when other mission triggers go off.

I can always come back to SOUND TO GROUP but I wanted to upgrade my ME skills. I have seen it working. For example here:

Multiple transmission from the same unit. Unfortunately I dont have this module to open it in ME and compare.

I investigated and it turned out that everything works well, but you need to have other units in the mission apart from The one transmiting, and a player.

It transmits only the first message if there are only two units on the map for some reason. Why? There is simply no way to know :)

Thats weird. I know using stop transmission is important for that stuff. For whatever reason it acts as if unit is "pushing the transmit button" forever until told to stop. So even if its just the same unit transmitting it has to be told to stop its previous transmission before saying something again.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

Hey,

AFAIK it works perfectly well in different combinations, I used it successfully in all my campaigns so far. Please PM me if you want more info, perhaps we could just chat.

It works well without executing the "stop transmission" command. Unit breaks transmitting the message and starts transmitting new one if the conditions are met.

Youp. Almost embarrassed to admit[well, not really] that there was a problem with the sound file in the transmission #2. My sound editing softwere must have changed the file name, or something. For some weird reason in the mission it wouldnt transmit anything else after this failed transmission. after relinking all the transmission with the audio files that are accually on my HDD it works well.

So just to make this clear - adding another unit wansn't the solution to this problem.
