What was your old resolution? If it was 1080p start with the same settings as before, but drop the MSAA to 2x or even to OFF.

Then adjust and lower the other settings as necessary.

Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

Go big or go home! Try 4196 x 2160 and if you don't like it, drop to 3860 x 2160. Welcome to 4K DCSW!!!!

I don't need no stinkin' GPS! (except for PGMs :D) :pilotfly:

Most of the time, I've flew with 2K for reasons like to make sure I have 60 fps and no black borders in the menue...

Now I tried with 4K in SP with a non-populated mission (MiG-15 free flight) with following settings:

Textures high

Water high

Terrain textures high

Visibility range high

heat blur high

shadows high

resolution cockpitdisplays 1024

8X MSAA

HDR

no grass

Visibility trees to half

preload radius full

8X AA

And I got always 60 fps, but in a non-populated mission. Online, where a lot of players crash at one point, that number can go down even at 1080p to a very low number.

as you can see in the video that I've made, there are some exceptions but you will mostly get 60 FPS at 4K with a 1070 and a better CPU than mine.

Hi razo+r, do you have Asus GeForce GTX 1070 Dual OC 8GB?

If you're running 4k you don't need MSAA.

For my part, if it's a choice between 4k and other settings, e.g. heat blur on high, I'll pick 4k every time.
