Kappi Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Good evening gents, I don´t know when it happened (must have been after one of the latest patches) but the trimming in the Shark doesn´t work anymore as it should be. No matter which "trimming technique" (hold trim, set attitude, release trim or set attitude, click trim) I use, the result is the same. As soon as I let go of my stick the Shark goes into a dive. Even if I trim the cyclic to the right, it goes right and into a dive as soon as I let go of the stick. Can anybody help?:helpsmilie: DCS 1.5, no axis curves, full saturation, no checkboxes under settings. ___________________________________________ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Looking forward to it, Belsimtek!
Yurgon Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Some ideas worth checking out: - double check that there are no double-bindings for any of the axes (maybe an X-box controller plugged in? Happened to me some time ago :D) - check proper mapping of the "Trim" function - check that "Trim reset" isn't accidentally mapped (although trim reset in forward flight would probably lead to violent pitch-up instead of dive) - when the problem occurs, look at the controls indicator (RCTL+Enter), it might give you an idea of what goes wrong - disable all mods, if you have any - rename your Saved Games\DCS folder, re-map the axes and trim and see if the problem persists - try DCS repair (Start -> All programs -> Eagle Dynamics -> Repair DCS World). Be sure to disable all mods before that, if you have any If neither of these helps, I'm pretty much out of ideas. :music_whistling: ;)
Boris Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Could it be that you have a non-ffb stick and that force feedback is turned on? PC Specs / Hardware: MSI z370 Gaming Plus Mainboard, Intel 8700k @ 5GHz, MSI Sea Hawk 2080 Ti @ 2100MHz, 32GB 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM Displays: Philips BDM4065UC 60Hz 4K UHD Screen, Pimax 8KX Controllers / Peripherals: VPC MongoosT-50, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, modded MS FFB2/CH Combatstick, MFG Crosswind Pedals, Gametrix JetSeat OS: Windows 10 Home Creator's Update
Kappi Posted June 8, 2017 Author Posted June 8, 2017 Could it be that you have a non-ffb stick and that force feedback is turned on? Force Feedback turned on? Does it turn itself on? Is there a special checkbox in the settings or should I check the FF tune in the controls tab of the Ka-50?:music_whistling: ___________________________________________ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Looking forward to it, Belsimtek!

Going to rename the SavedGames/DCS folder and trying DCS repair tonight. ___________________________________________ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Looking forward to it, Belsimtek!

Kappi Posted June 8, 2017 Author Posted June 8, 2017 I found the error:doh: I still don´t know what´s the reason for it, but it was bad calibration data within the Windows Gamecontroller settings. I noticed that the "center" position of the stick was slightly forward. After disconnecting the X-52 and recalibrating it in Windows everything is fine now in DCS.:joystick: Thanks for the help and the inspirations. @Moderators: Since it´s no bug or problem with DCS I guess the thread can be deleted:music_whistling: ___________________________________________ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Looking forward to it, Belsimtek!
Yurgon Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Glad you got it working. @Moderators: Since it´s no bug or problem with DCS I guess the thread can be deleted:music_whistling: Hell no! Imagine someone else has the same problem in the future, this might help them fix it.
