Shaman Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 It's real combat helicopter. Exactly anti-armor helicopter but it's just not armed on this video. In Germany pilots are trained to fly lower then tree coronas and fast to avoid being seen. They use anti-armor missiles. 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer

Where did I say it was a fake combat helicopter? the OH-58 is a real 'combat' helicopter too, as is the OH-8, but not only combat dedicated. And please watch the video before you start talking about something else. I want to see some hippies and nice cars, not some fat bo-105 :p Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:

Force_Feedback Posted December 22, 2006 Author Posted December 22, 2006 Oooooh, found a very nice video of my favorite 'light' jet, yes, the Mirage 2000 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skMU5QwG6kw Soooo awesome, man, I love that thing, it's way superior over the F-16, has decent avionics (French were always good at that) and can turn on a dime, combine that with some MICA missiles, and you can spank any pesky F-16 really good. Here some Green Gay (damn emo nubs) themed video, just liked that they started off with the F-16 :D Footage wise, nothing new. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPlAwT-gPOY Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
Shaman Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Where did I say it was a fake combat helicopter? Where did I say I disagree with you? Just provided more information about that chopper, especially that I'm sorta Luftwafe's Bo-105 fanboi. Sorry, I unintentionally crushed your ego. 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer

Guest IguanaKing Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 The helicopter in the video is a Hughes 300. Where did discussion of Bo-105s come into this? LOL. :D Its real, but there is also a bit of movie magic involved. In a Hughes 300, I don't care if you're Super Man, you NEVER take your hand off the cyclic to wave to people at that altitude unless you want to die. My other question in all of this is, what country is that which allows a helicopter pilot to fly in those areas? It looks like maybe Brazil? Was this guy arrested and taken to jail after making that video?

My other question in all of this is, what country is that which allows a helicopter pilot to fly in those areas? It looks like maybe Brazil? Was this guy arrested and taken to jail after making that video? It's correct: it's a movie (cinema) made to a pop singer from Brazil, Roberto Carlos (who also sings in the movie and is the "fake pilot":joystick: ). The country is Brazil, between 1967-1969. (If you are famous, jail is not for you:music_whistling: ...) No magic in the movie (no Special Effects), only a pilot that doens't appear and movie takes from the ground, showing the singer with the head outside of the cabin (but his hair is ever ok, as is the hat of Indiana Jones :smilewink: ). Guest IguanaKing Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 Ah...OK...so he had somebody in the left seat. If it was shot for a pop singer video, I'm sure they had special permits to do so. I'll bet the insurance agency made a HUGE profit on that video. :D Heh...I recognized the Portuguese architecture in the city, but when I saw the tell-tale mountain in the background, it narrowed the geographical location. BTW...what is the name of that absolutely stunning and unique mountain east of Rio De Janeiro. I've never known its name.
