kontiuka Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Going to waypoint 1, the PVI 800 should show a cross track error of 6.2 km but it shows 0. Going to waypoint 2, the PVI 800 shows the correct cross track error of 1.1 km.
Elliot Durden Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 (edited) You need to change your ABRIS to show decimal lat long, because it doesn't right now, and PVI accepts decimal MENU page > OPTION > SETUP > UNITS > LATITIDE / LONGITUDE Or if you want it to be persistent go to C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50\Cockpit\Scripts\ABRIS\Options.lua and do this https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1689358&postcount=4 P.S, you need to enter cordinates like this into PVI Edited July 23, 2017 by Elliot Durden
kontiuka Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 You need to change your ABRIS[/img]Thanks for the response but I think we're talking about 2 different things. I have the DTA/DH button selected in the PVI-800 and I am in DTA mode so I should be showing a cross-track error, not a latitude/longitude. It works going to waypoint 2 but not for going to waypoint 1.
Esac_mirmidon Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I´m not sure about that but maybe this is because cross-track error must be showed between two WP and in the case of WP 1 you dont have any BEFORE to compare with the error? Maybe sounds a little silly but could be the reason. " You must think in russian.." Esac_mirmidon Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 But in the PVI there is no WP 0, so maybe this is why the discrepancy. 1 " You must think in russian.." Frederf Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Cross track error is defined as the route from the previous waypoint to the current. For the PVI there is no waypoint before the first one and as such there is no defined track to the first waypoint in the route. The ME populates the PVI memory with waypoints 1-6. It could have been programmed to populate with 0-5 but then AF#1 and WP#1 would be identical and a waste of resources. The ABRIS is a completely independent system and since it's flight plan capability is so much greater it auto populates the full route starting from ME #0 in its flight plan (up to whatever limit is in ABRIS). The fact that the takeoff airfield matches the PVI airfield and ABRIS's #2 matches PVI #1 and ABRIS #3 matches PVI #2 is a coincidence of the simulator. If you create flight plans in both systems sitting in the cockpit this independence is made clear. 1
Esac_mirmidon Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Thanks Frederf. Crystal Clear now. " You must think in russian.." [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Windows 7 Home Premium-Intel 2500K OC 4.6-SSD Samsung EVO 860- MSI GTX 1080 - 16G RAM - 1920x1080 27´ Hotas Rhino X-55-MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals -Track IR 4
