Just uploaded the last "Seafire" skin im doing ( Merry widow - see below), should be available soon. It has my new prop markings and exhaust pipes. Thanks to Jocko and SnowSniper for giving me the idea on the exhaust, and i also did a little bit of research on the props, and it seems that the current markings may have been post WW2, jazzed up by ROTOL. And during the war they were a pretty basic marking similar like the one i have posted here.

Nice work, and a reminder to me to finally finish my own prop marking... made a placeholder out of the default markings but never finished it and it's not completely accurate.

Just a small suggestion for accuracy purposes ;) for the Spitfire IX the drawing number should be RA 10046/RS. I'm not sure what the Mk.III Seafires had but the postwar ones had RA 10167/RTS. The disc for the Spit was usually pink/red or white. Not sure about the Seafires.

The disc colour (and top row of letters within) had to do with the type of material and manufacturing process used for the blade, I'll have to dig out my notes.

Lovely skins! :)

Thanks Jocko, yes the prop marking can be a little confusing, il fix the props on these asap, i intend to do the others as well. I think looking at the markings and paint scheme's of the Spit in all its forms requires a Uni degree ;), there is a lot of info out there, im sure if i spent some money on some good reference books it would be a bit easier.

And the more im looking at Merry Widow, i think i have done the markings ( the seams and rivets etc) a bit too heavy, i wouldnt mind some feed back on that as well, Thanks again.:)

Looking awesome.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

This stuff is very subjective, but if you want my opinion I'd say the seams and rivets might be a bit too heavy, and the ones on your PP972 above are bang on. But that's just me ;)

Also reminds me I need to tweak the normal maps again for my liveries. I adjusted some stuff early on before the template but they came out a little too soft looking.

As for the devil being in the details, it's satisfying to get all the OCD rivet counting right but I have to remind myself that the majority of people will be in F1 view, not F2 ;)

Again, nice job. Always loved the look of that Temperate Sea scheme, great colours.

Thanks Jocko, i reckon your right and i agree about the Merry Widow markings being a bit heavy, il work on these, thanks mate.
