Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Well, I pushed my UH-1H into DCS 2.1.1 + Normandy, and tried to edit a mission and replace the default aircraft for the UH-1H, but the heli doesn't even appear in the dropdown menu ? Trying to add it as an object also fails ? Any suggestions ? Thx! Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
Captain Orso Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Create a mission using the proper time-frame for the UH-1? When you hit the wrong button on take-off System Specs. Spoiler System board: MSI X670E ACE Memory: 64GB DDR5-6000 G.Skill Ripjaw System disk: Crucial P5 M.2 2TB CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D PSU: Corsair HX1200 PSU Monitor: ASUS MG279Q, 27" CPU cooling: Noctua NH-D15S Graphics card: MSI RTX 3090Ti SuprimX VR: Oculus Rift CV1
FragBum Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 (edited) Yes create a mission but time frame doesn't matter except for whats assets are available. AFAIK  I fly Huey and Gazelle in Normandy too much. ;) Edited August 4, 2017 by FragBum oops typo I fly,.. Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above. Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.
lemoen Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 When you make a new mission, choose the 'Modern' template for the coalitions. Then you should be able to get the modern units.

Yes the coalition forces and assets depend on time frame and what you own but choice of aircraft doesn't as long as you own it of course. John Hargreaves Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Was your original default aircraft in the fixed wing category? I think you have to add helis from the correct tab on the left, and you can have it as another client playable aircraft. I've been flying my Huey round Normandy ok, so it does work without time restrictions, and BTW it's great, well worth the effort. i7-7700K/Gigabyte RTX2080/Win10 64bit/32Gb RAM/Asus Xonar DX+Sennheiser HD380pro headphones/LG 34" UM65 @2560x1080/TM Warthog+VKB MkIV Rudder pedals/Rift CV1
Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted August 4, 2017 Author Posted August 4, 2017 Well guys, THANK YOU ALL for the great suggestions. I will certainly give them all a good try as I arrive home and next to my beloved DCS Sim :-) which will happen only in not less than 8 hrs :-( All of the Best, Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
