Shadow KT Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 (edited) I notice that, if you are attempting an air refueling with the KC-135 and you even slightly touch the boom with your plane, which can cause a lot of damage of course, but I am talking bout a gentle touch :D. The KC-135 just goes straight for the ground. You cannot see any visual damage to the plane ( as if you are only slightly touching the boom ), but in the actions menu it says "pilots dead'', "engine shutdown". On the A-10 the only damage I got was on the VHF AM radio. Also a side question, didn't the boom used to extend more ? like it had green in the middle and red at the both ends ? feefifofum Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Hey Shadow...the boom should indeed have a range of acceptable distance signified by green, yellow, and red segments. I'll see if it's acting funny on my end. Is this today's patch? THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
Shadow KT Posted August 23, 2017 Author Posted August 23, 2017 (edited) No, this is the old patch! I just saw that there is a new one ^.^ And by the color zones I mean, didn't it used to be Red for too far away to Green and again to Red for too close. As now it just Green(light) for the max distance and Red for the closest at least from my point of view it only got to the upper green with the Chevrons pointing towards the KC Edited August 23, 2017 by Shadow KT 'Shadow' Everybody gotta be offended and take it personally now-a-days

Quick question: Is it while you are hosting the mission or on an MP server ? Asking because the host used to not be able to refuel his plane while other players on the hosted game could. Next question: When you call for "ready to contact", do you see the yellow/green/red lights under the KC135 cockpit and the boom starting to move? Shadow KT Posted August 23, 2017 Author Posted August 23, 2017 Well on MP and in SP, He was both times only extending it to the middle of the green area. I can see the light panel, but cannot really distinguish what lights are on. Maybe I have to be lower to see them. The main problem I am reporting is still the whole plane dying with the pilots, instantly on contact (bump) with the boom. Maybe I should post a track 'Shadow' Everybody gotta be offended and take it personally now-a-days
Shadow KT Posted August 31, 2017 Author Posted August 31, 2017 Here is a quick track of what I mean: I gently bump the KC-135 in the boom and the pilots are insta dead, engines completely shut down. And afterwards I get smacked by the tail :D and my pilot dies, but this is completely understandable, but my engines don't turn off for no reason. Maybe this thread should be on the main bugs section.... 'Shadow' Everybody gotta be offended and take it personally now-a-days
