Hi,

Does the force feedback supposed to work with the M2000?

The FF option is activated in the setting menu but nothing. Did i miss something?

Can confirm that centering works.

I faintly recall having felt the FFB effects of stalling the Mirage in the past, but doesn't seem to be the case. Or, well, it handles so ridiculously well that I had trouble stalling it just now even at max-stick high-AoA turns at a snail pace of 100.

Haven't flown the mirage in months, is that actually authentic? Feels like the kind of things you'd see in FC3 FMs, maybe I've just been flying choppers and the Viggen for too long.

It feels far more agile even with centering tank in swffb compared to my X52. I love it :D

Actually my question concerned the rumble or the vibration (i don't know how you call it). For example when we are on the runway or when we shot a missile is it possible to have vibrations effects?

Actually my question concerned the rumble or the vibration (i don't know how you call it).

DCS FFB usually models 'stick' forces, not ambient FX or cockpit vibration.

So...

  • L-39 stick gets stiffer with increased aerodynamic forces, vibrates due to buffet/mech linkage, etc.
  • Huey FFB cyclic centring force goes 'slack' if artificial 'stick feel' is disabled in the cockpit
  • F-86 has a spring cartridge and hyd controls so no buffet feedback

The Mirage fly by wire doesn't have direct linkage to the control surface. I'm not sure if it's stick or pedals have a artificial 'stick shaker' but none is modelled.

For example when we are on the runway or when we shot a missile is it possible to have vibrations effects?

AFAIK the accepted way to get taxi roll vibrations, etc. in DCS is to use SimShaker with something like a Gametrix vibrating chair/cushion. SimShaker then uses data from DCS to drive the seat vibrations.

General

...

It uses data like speed, gear position, engine state and many more directly from the simulation which enables us to create very precise and distinguishable feedback.

It answers my question. Too lame that DCS doesnt allow such effects.

I just downloaded SimShaker to try it but it doesn't work with a joystick. Apparently, it only works with a chair/cushion as you mentioned.

Anyway, thanks for the infos guys! May be in 2030 DCS would release this feature
