I know the A-10s systems very well, however, I wouldn't say I'm "good" in the Hog. I'm....ehh, I'm okay at it. I use a Logitech 3D Pro, no TrackIR.

My question is: Do you guys think that at my level of experience (~4 months flying the Hog, but about a year studying it prior to purchasing it) I would be able to enjoy OPF? How hard of a campaign is it?

Knowing the systems is expected in this campaign. There's nothing too crazy but you will be entering data to the CDU on the fly under pressure in most missions. Not having track IR, or some way to quickly look around may be an issue. There are times when things are happening on the ground where you simply don't have time or it is not practical to use the TGP. (You will be a lot more invested in what's on the ground in this campaign then you may have been in others.)

With this being said I would absolutely get this campaign even if you have to work at it a bit to make it work. In my opinion it is the best A-10 campaign available, and you will notice the quality almost immediately. Difficulty wise I would put it a notch above others, but with a grasp on the systems you should be fine.

I'd say head tracking of some sort is essential in most A-10 missions. You need to look at your MFCD's and flip switches all while maintaining situational awareness. If I didn't have TrackIR I would have given up on flight simming long ago. ;)

Its a game, there's nothing to be ready for except a good challenge and a laugh or two.
