Mission 09 problem

Hi,

 

Loving the campaign - it feels very real and the tension is superb.

 

I have attempted mission 09 twice and without giving away spoilers, when make my way back to Kutaisi, as soon as my 'package' touches down, I get a ROE violation and it fails the mission.

 

Is this a known issue?

 

I will conduct a third attempt tomorrow.

As soon as the C-17 lands I get the failure. No weapons were fired at any point though in the mission debrief, a MiG-29 crashes killing the pilot. Perhaps that caused it but it seems odd that this happens at the moment the C-17 lands.

Hi Chembleton, thanks for the report. The ROE violation is indeed likely a result of the crashing MiG-29..

 

 

..since you are never cleared to attack in this mission, the ROE triggers just check if an enemy unit had been killed.

 

 

Hopefully this will resolve itself next time you run the mission. I'm in the process of revisiting all campaign missions to prepare for the new Caucasus map and will take a look at the AI scripting while I'm in there.

Sorry, I meant to get back to you. I played the mission again and the Mig29 didn't crash so there were no ROE violations and I moved successfully on to mission 10. Thanks.

Great! I've made some adjustments to their behavior and speeds that should hopefully reduce the likelihood of this happening to others. Enjoy the rest of the campaign!
