I just had it with your Greek nationalistic bull your spewing around here - I've got friends from Macedonia, who would and CAN claim otherwise. Greece already humiliated Macedonia with wearing that awful long name, now you're spewing your lies here! Macedonia is on the same territories as the old one, only the people are of the Slovanian origin. Back on topc about the video.

 

I am no expert in judging whether any video is real or not,but it seemed to me that this is a combination of videos.I mean this Turkish pilot was 'lucky' enough to get behind a Mirage-2000 and get behind an F-16 on the same day?

 

Also,it is strange that the HUD shows the FUEL warning and the pilot continues to engage.I remember a Turkish F-16 crashing over the Aegean some years ago because of that exact reason.The pilot ejected safely ,picked up by us Greeks and returned to Turkey.

 

And finally,(and that goes for all videos presented both by the Greek side and the Turkish side),how can one tell if the Mirage-2000 is Greek and not Egyptian on a maneuvres visit and if the F-16 is Greek or Turkish?

yes its a combo of videos, Mirages and other F-16's in different combats. I searched youtube and its full of combats like this on both sides.

 

I have already said this but if you look closely youll see the word "SIM" on the HUD (weapons in simulated, track only mode). They are just fooling arround and not exactly fighting it out, probably at the back of their senior officers.

Nobody can tell...and it doesn't matter. A fight between an F-16 and a Mirage? Oh...who could that be? Just about anybody, considering the world-wide distribution of these two aircraft. That's why I say, its just air combat videos. In the real world its a contest that determines who gets to go home that day...and who dies...the nationalities of the contestants are not important. :)

BTW...I wasn't able to see it before, but that is a friggin' AWESOME avatar you have there No Fear. I have a similar, sunset photo I took of a Viper, right here at Buckley AFB. Its hanging over my fireplace now. She sure is a beautiful bird. :D

By the way Greeks didnt humiliate anyone, that was world opinion that made the name of their country. They shouldn't have tried to coopt history in the first place. Slovenians and slavs have nothing to do with the province of Greece known as Macedonia. Trying to take the name and start a country was their idea -- they got slapped down for it.
