Operation Safe-Haven - a joint MP effort to rescue troops from behind enemy lines

Greetings,

I'd like to present a new multiplayer mission: Operation Safe-Haven

Some notes:

1) A large scale map of the mission area is included in the ZIP file. This map includes some marking of :

a. Enemy outposts ("Red-1" through "Red-8" and their MGRS positions

b. Main roads in the sector + numbering

c. Bridges (marking format: B-x-y

i. B- Bridge

ii. X- road number

iii. Y- number of bridge on the road (1,2,3…)

2) The mission is flexible when it comes to enemy air threats: those will only be spawning as long as at-least a pair of blue-side CAP aircraft are airborne (can be a pair of F-15s, M-2000C's or a combination of both).

3) All aircraft WP's are pointing to camp Safe-haven (1st WP) and the objective village (2nd WP)

4) Due to my (very) limited knowledge of scripting, I was unable to simulate a helicopter landing and troops pickup as realistically as I have wished. Instead, once the rescue helicopter lands at the correct site, a message will appear approving the pickup was accomplished. I hope to improve this issue and have the mission upgraded sometime in the future.

 

Critical roles:

Mi-8 (mandatory if the rescue is to be done by helicopter; otherwise it is not needed)

Tactical commander (mandatory if the rescue is to be done by APC's, or for GCI/ ATC roles)
