Integrity Check failure - some .fxo file

Sudden problem with one of the .fxo file as can be seen in the attachment... :dunno:

I solved the problem by deleting the disputed file and did a repair DCS.

I would suggest to delete the whole fxo and metashader folder. it fixed the long loading times with me. No need to repair afterwards, these folders/files will be downloaded automaticly when you start DCS. You'll have to change your settings again but your controls are safe

Problematic file is in install DCS folder (program files/eagle dynamics...), that files are in IC. If i delete that, game is broken and need repair.

Both the metashader and fxo folders are in the user saved games folder. You can happily delete both, as it won't break anything.

From what we've seen, these are generated reference files to handle graphics rendering. New ones are generated, probably whenever we change graphics settings, add new maps/aircraft. The implications being that you might have months of now utterly pointless files. Delete them both.

The game will then regenerate them. Takes more time on the first regeneration as it has to calculate them from scratch. Once done, you should find that the game loads faster and has fewer stutters (that was my experience).

 

I've now got into the habit of deleting them post any game hotfix, or graphics setting change, to prevent a build up of rubbish.

I know that.

 

But...

Intergrity Check say that something is wrong here: bazar\shaders\fxo\somefile.fxo and that file are not in saved games\dcsXY\fxo or metashader. So, problem is with file in main DCS installation folder.

I don`t have log from that time when that happens (dcs.log is updated every time when start dcs? right?).

So i need post dcs.log when that happens? It happens random. Ok, i will post it when the problem is repeated.

Yea I thought you ment the one in the saved game folder, still delete them anyway might be related
