What I do wrong - Super 530 problem

Hi guys.

I noticed Super 530 problem which is dangerous during fight and because of this, I was shot down a few times and my 530 were totally fault.

At first I would like to ask if you know when I should use RDO button.

It looks like to be auto lock but usually I lose this lock, there's also writen PSIC on HUD ( not sure if I remember it well ). If I used the missile before that and I lose lock, the missile can't hit target.

What's going on?

Sometimes I was near the target and I couldn't use those missiles succesfully.

when you're near the target, use special modes instead of RDO

you need a hard lock (PIC) on a target for 530's to track

sometimes when target is jamming and there's also ground clutter, NO PSIC is written on HUD - it means you can't PIC lock the target. never shoot 530's when you see NO PSIC. you should wait till you get your solid PIC (=STT) lock

To avoid losing lock, go lower than your target.

Yes, but really i hope for a recheck by RAZBAM because notching or not notching, the losing lock does seem to be a deafult feature of this M2000C radar.

It is hard to believe though that the real RDI would be this incapable of look-down/shoot-down.

There is a "radar lock lost memory function", but it is not implemented yet in DCS.
