OsageCowboy Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Hey guys, I've been messing around with the demo for a while in preparation for getting these games in the next few days. I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction for an x52 profile, complete with documentation. I downloaded one from user "The Jedi" but I figured that as you guys are the kings, you would probably have something more thorough devised. Thanks so much!!!!
159th_Viper Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 IMHO always best to work on your own profile - that way you will be more comfortable with the end result and will put that extra effort in to tweak it to suite your individual preference. Saying that, what Airframe are you likely to spend most of your time in, as a lot of user-profiles are plane-specific. I for one could help you with a profile, but it is solely mapped for the T-Frog. OsageCowboy Posted January 15, 2007 Author Posted January 15, 2007 one for the F-15/A-10 would be most beneficial! thanks a ton!!!
gundelgauk Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 IMHO always best to work on your own profile I second that. My new X52 came for christmas and initially I was on the lookout for good profiles but they all seemed a little weird and I would always end up changing things. So I finally decided that I could as well start from scratch. I fly mainly fighters so I imagined a typical multiplayer session, what functions I would need and how quickly I would need them (in the middle of a dogfight vs. BVR vs. takeoff/landing, etc). Then I mapped the functions as I thought would be most intuitive and ergonomic. As of yet my profile is an ongoing project. While I'm already extremely content with it, I still try out minor adjustments sometimes and if I like them, I keep them. A big advantage of this approach is that controlling your jet will come "naturally" to you. You won't have to relearn all the keys and switches that someone else dictated to you which is very overwhelming with the wealth of functions. It's really worth the effort. EDIT: one for the F-15/A-10 would be most beneficial! thanks a ton!!! Well I could make my profile available but as I mentioned, it's not really a complete piece of work. I also would have to make a jpeg documentation because you said you wanted that. It will take some time though because I'm currently at work.

bramski Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 I just bought an x52 a few weeks back and I was initially on the lookout for profiles. But after downloading a few I found it a lot easier to get to grips with the controls by making my own profiles as you absorb the layout as your programing into the x52 software.
