TAC 15 - Fails when leaving range for AAF

After hitting both primary targets the instructor says to refuel but I get a knock it off as I leave the range as the tanker is outside of the training range. Second time I tried contacting the tanker prior to leaving the range but still got the same failure.

Did you exit at Alpha?

 

Range check-in is at Alpha and range check-out can be Alpha or Charlie.

 

When you get close to Alpha the FE should make the check-out call. If you exit anywhere else then you are exiting the range without authorization.

 

Fly the flight plan as briefed and it should work ok. If not let us know and we will investigate the issue.

I passed this time, getting a success call at TGT 2 after only destroying the SKP-11. Previously I had only destroyed the Sborka. At TGT 2 the mission data lists the Sborka as the primary but the triggers seem to react to the SKP-11 as the primary.

Flying this mission now and I am a bit confused about the target location. Are the correct coordinates MM7486314498?

 

I got these from Recon Stewarts video of this mission, I notice they are a lot different than what is in the briefing documents.

 

Also, I get my CCRP line for every waypoint except the target waypoint that I have put into the CDU. When I turn towards my target the CCRP line goes away and I see NOTE on the bottom of the HUD. Didn't have time to check the message as I quickly was shot down. So wondering what I may have done incorrectly.

No the current coordinates in the mission briefing documentation are correct.

 

When the campaign was initially released we had an issue with the MGRS coordinates so they were updated and corrected.

 

If I recall you have to do a TMS Forward Long to set the SPI then you will get the Azimuth Steering Line (ASL) to indicate heading to target.

 

The designated target SPI will also have a SPI locator line extending from it to the TVV or the TVV will have a SPI locator line extending to the target if the SPI targets is within the HUD field of view.

 

Then you fly to align the CCRP Projected Bomb Release Line (PBRL) with the ASL and then the Time To Release Numeric (TTRN) will indicate how long until bomb drop.

Ah ok thank you , that explains why I may have been in the wrong area. I'll try again with the coordinates in the kneeboard which are much shorter than the ones I was using.

 

I was also missng the tms up long action too. This is most likely why I did not see a ccrp line.
