Johnny_Rico Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 Hi Razbam, very excited about the harrier coming out soon in early access Can you give us an estimate on percentage complete the Harrier will be when released in early access ? MikeMikeJuliet Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 You will get the idea by reading through the Pocket Guide that has bee posted. It mentions when a system or it's subsystem is left out of initial early access. I couldn't tell you a precentage, but you can see what is left out in there. I doubt it lists every single item, but you get a decent idea of what will be missing or will be incomplete at EA launch. Regards, MikeMikeJuliet DCS Finland | SF squadron

Johnny_Rico Posted November 21, 2017 Author Posted November 21, 2017 thanks for replying, I really appreciate you taking the time to post Anyone care to read the 114 pages and tell me what % is not implemented yet ? Or could someone from Razbam care to comment, that would be great METAR weather for DCS World missions Guide to help out new DCS MOOSE Users -> HERE Havoc Company Dedicated server info Connect IP: 94.23.215.203 SRS enabled - freqs - Main = 243, A2A = 244, A2G = 245 Please contact me HERE if you have any server feedback or METAR issues/requests
MikeMikeJuliet Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 thanks for replying, I really appreciate you taking the time to post Anyone care to read the 114 pages and tell me what % is not implemented yet ? Or could someone from Razbam care to comment, that would be great I read the document yesterday, but I don't at all remember every single thing. What I do remember was that following items at least will be missing: - Radio functionality partly, - INS alignment, - certain weapon submodes, - part of NAVFLIR adjustment options for the HUD, - NAVFLIR color (should be green), - Ground Power Panel, - NRAS and PC value adjustments for VSTOL (will be a fixed value initially), - Voice warnings (Native Betty) - some UFC modes... ...to name a few. The disclaimers are pretty much all in the notes so you can find the relatively easily. This was the best I could compile for you being on my phone atm. Johnny_Rico Posted November 21, 2017 Author Posted November 21, 2017 (edited) thanks for taking the time to do that Mike Still holding out that Razbam will answer with a definitive simple % value After all they are creating that Harrier and I am sure that they have a requirements list and know how many are ticked off as complete so far Edited November 21, 2017 by Johnny_Rico METAR weather for DCS World missions Guide to help out new DCS MOOSE Users -> HERE Havoc Company Dedicated server info Connect IP: 94.23.215.203 SRS enabled - freqs - Main = 243, A2A = 244, A2G = 245 Please contact me HERE if you have any server feedback or METAR issues/requests
MikeMikeJuliet Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 It might not be as simple since the listed items may not be equally valued in % of work needed to accomplish them. DCS Finland | SF squadron
JG27_Arklight Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 I think the NAVFLIR has been updated to green hasn't it? Thought I read that in one of their Facebook posts. Fri13 Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 Expect to see at least anything between 70-80% completion and maybe even a 70-80% in good change. It is difficult to say what "percentage" you can give, as even one missing feature can seriously limit the combat or flight capabilities, so missing function of 1% can mean 30% of combat related capabilities are out. Just stay up to date with the updates and you find when things gets better. If you haven't yet purchased it and you want to start learning the basics (STOL etc) then it is good to go I would bet. If you want to dive to deeply to weapons and navigation systems, prepare to really miss some things. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
Johnny_Rico Posted November 25, 2017 Author Posted November 25, 2017 Thanks for the reply Fri13, still holding out hope for an offical Razbam response I had a read through the manual and check out what is missing/not done yet % are derived from working items in system / total items in system So from the averaging of them 48.6% complete at early access The real % is only known to Razbam, hopefully they will respond if this is an error Just looking for acurate numbers HUD The following controls are not available on initial Early Access release: HUD Symbology Brightness, FLIR Video Controls, MPCD display swap. These controls will be available on subsequent updates. 3/5 = 60% UFC Modes and Functions On initial Early Access release, only the following UFC functions/modes are available: TCN, AWL, V/STOL, LASER Code, COM1 & COM2. The remaining functions/modes will be activated in subsequent updates. 5/9 = 56% In the initial Early Release version only the following pages are available: FLIR, EHSD, DMT, STRS, ENG, TPOD and EW. All other pages will become available on subsequent updates. 7/20 = 35% INS In the initial Early Release version, the INS will always be pre-aligned. Alignment options are not available until further notice. 1/6 = 17% Comms On initial Early Access release only the UFC mode is available. MAN mode will be enabled on subsequent upgrades. 3/4 = 75% Targeting On initial Early Access release only the UFC mode is available. MAN mode will be enabled on subsequent upgrades. The ARBS/DMT sensor mode will be subject to modifications/upgrades after the initial Early Release. Such changes will be informed in due time. NAVFLIR cool down time is not enabled in initial Early Access release. The system will be enabled in subsequent updates. NAVFLIR The real NAVFLIR hotspot detector has more features and options that cannot be simulated on DCS. One of these features is sensibility. The real NAVFLIR hotspot detector will detect ALL temperature differentials which creates many false readings. Unfortunately, it is not possible to simulate such sensibility in DCS, so the hotspot detector is limited to detection of active vehicles (AI or player controlled vehicles). The hotspot detector in DCS will not mark buildings or scenery objects. NAVFLIR Hotspot Detector is not available on initial Early Access release. The system will be enabled in subsequent updates. NAVFLIR cool down time is not enabled in initial Early Access release. The system will be enabled in subsequent updates. TDC Action/No Action modes along with TDC axis command are not available in the initial Early Release version. They will be made operational in subsequent releases. DMT TV All AV-8B NA video displays use green, not grey. Due to a DCS limitation we have been forced to use greyscale. The video output will be changed to green as soon as the texture is available in DCS. Currently the ARBS/DMT TV Mode cannot lock to moving targets. This is still under review. This option may or may not be available in the future depending on available documentation. The ARBS/DMT sensor mode will be subject to modifications/upgrades after the initial Early Release. Such changes will be informed in due time. Weapons MANUAL delivery mode is not enabled in initial Early Access release. It will be enabled in subsequent releases. UFC and ODU weapons programming is not available in the initial Early Access release. It will be enabled in subsequent releases. DSL(1) (manual) delivery mode is not enabled in initial Early Access release. It will be enabled in subsequent releases. The AGM-122A Sidearm is still under development and at initial Early Release has a low hit probability. The missile reliability will be upgraded in subsequent upgrades. DCS does not allow the jettison of special pods like the LITENING II. Be prepared for Asymmetrical flying. ED will solve this problem in the future, at which time special pod jettison will be available.
