A single little question: diameter of a moving zone

Hi

Is it possible to definite the diameter of a moving zone around a unit ?

And if no, what's the defaut diameter around a flying unit ?

( It's for a trigger to desactivate a flying plane unit except if the player is around, to not seeing a plane disappearing from the sky without reason )

When you create the moving zone (which is a normal trigger zone - the trigger define her as "moving"), you first set the radius (on the right side menu).

From the manual: "UNIT INSIDE MOVING ZONE. This trigger allows you to attach a trigger area zone to a unit and the zone will move along with the assigned unit. Note, the trigger zone can be placed anywhere on the map, but will in fact be always attached to the center of the assigned unit in-game. When selected, you should first select the unit that the area trigger will be attached to by selecting it from the ZONE UNIT drop down list. Next, select the area trigger zone that will be attached to the unit from the ZONE drop down list. Lastly, you need to set the unit that will set the trigger to true when it enters the zone unit’s zone. Do this by selecting a unit from the UNIT drop down list."

Thanks

When i post the question this night, i went to bed just after and waiting the sleep, i thought to myself how i havn't meditate enough before. I'd already read the manual and specially the chapter of the moving zone but didn't understood the answer in first and then just before the sleep comes, i had the illumination. I've even thought to stand and turning my PC on to erase this subject .

However i have a question. It's difficult to explain in english ( i'm french) . When you create a zone somewhere in the way to make a moving zone linked to a plane, is the plane will be always centered in this zone or the center of this zone will it be positioned at the same distance of the first waypoint of the plane and the place you create the zone ? I don't know if i'm explicit enough.

I tHink, the zone is in the position related to the aircraft not centered. So if you create a zone in the the east will be in the eastt.... independently of your heading. To be in the center, you should create the zone in the center of the unit. But I could be wrong... that is how I interpreted it.

Its just a zone to define a radius from the center around a unit.

Also I seem to recall the zone is still active on the map. So if you place a trigger zone and use the "unit in moving zone" condition it can be true if it gets within the radius around the attached unit and where-ever the zone is placed on the map.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
