Spawned from script, checking for deep water where it will spawn. Doesn't float very well.

Well, the whole script is 3300+ lines.. i'll see if i can replicate it with a simple version. It doesn't happen always btw, in this case 3 ships were spawned and only this one spawned like this.

Try spawning it on the Black Sea itself. AI ships can't be placed in the lake near Krasnordar in the mission editor as is. A few years ago I tested spawning on the lake by the dam and it spawned on the water... but only the host saw that, for connected clients they'd see it at sea level.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

Ok will do. These are pretty big lakes, shouldn't they be able to be spawned there? What is interesting btw, when i look at the positions of the ships (getPosition func) this ship has an 'altitude' of 40 and the others 0.. if anything it should hover above the water :)

Nope. Same goes for the Inguri and Roni rivers. Its partially down to how DCS currently treats those bodies of water from the Black Sea and the fact that most of those lakes don't have sea access. Obviously small boats like the armed speed boat should be able to go there, but DCS again makes a broad distinction for ships.
